Man, your probably stressing over nothing. Just do some ladder testing to make sure it's safe and put a new load together. They designed it to be less temp sensitive than normal ball powders. And...
Re zero at 200. The further out you zero the more error you can induce. Make sure it's exactly 200m. Or is it yards? That could cock it up.
Check atmospherics are correct, scope height etc. It all...
I'd lighten the bolt. Chuck it in the mill and find a spot that's not consequential to mill out. You'd have to remove a lot for it to be dangerous.
The hammer spring and the recoil spring both do...
Yeah mate, there's a few of us on here that shoot matches.
Check out https://fieldshooting.nz/events/
A huge thanks to you and the others that are doing this work Simon, I can't imagine the hours and problems you guys will have had to work through.
If someone wants to set up a range under any of...
I don't think it matters if you shoot 2 10 shots, 4 5 shots or whatever, as long as your shooting enough rounds to know what the rifles actually doing. I've been mislead by too many small groups to...
Completely agree. I shoot a lot through my "PRS" 22, and I'll shoot a 20 round group just sighting in. I want to know exactly where the center of that big hole is so the majority of my shots are...
Far out, that thing is farkin beautiful. Well done!
I've got one on a 22, haven't played with many others to compare but I like it.
I did change which rifle it was on and found that the little mounting bolt had snapped due to over-tightening, luckily...
A mate has one built on a Ruger American ranch, feeding from AR mags. Shot it out to 1640m with a first or second round impact. Bloody awesome build.
Not to mention it being used as a reason to label you not "fit and proper"
This is incredibly sad. Why any of you are justifying excessive laws that are creating more problems rather than fixing any is beyond me.
Regardless of what the technicalities might be, this law...
You're right! I was laying upside down when I made the comment and had myself all cocked up.
No that would make it worse, the barrel needs to go down, maybe clamp it down into the stock and put some duct tape or a zip tie around it.
I've got a brand new Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24 for sale. $2k ;)
Man, I hate to say it and sound like a dick, but if you have to ask this question, you should not be shooting animals at that range, it's just not ethical.
Yes you can spend the money on a rifle...
Honestly, I think you're probably over reacting. This guy made a few dumb mistakes, but that doesn't mean he's unworthy of having firearms. Id put my money on him being so bloody upset about it...
I don't want anything to do with politicians. They're the cause of this mess.
8 months.... 8 bloody months since I put my renewal through, 7 months since they got back to my referees and 1 month and 10 days since my referees and I had our interviews.
3 months since my license...
Have done a test with a dremel ball, the burr type rather than a cutter. It kind of sands the hole and burns it slightly which looks good. Also have a burning iron with lots of different ends.

Cheers! I think deep down we all love a short shotgun.
You're seeing the good side of the checkering. The machine had some backlash, so the lines aren't evenly spaced. Will probably end up carving...
Its done! For now.... still doesn't have the stippling or checkering tidied up, but I'll just leave it for now and make a decision on how to finish that one day.
My brother was out for the weekend...
Not sure I want a job doing anything! Id have to do a run of them to make it worth my time unfortunately, too many projects on the list!
Cheers! Using fusion 360. I'm a mechanical consultant and usually use Inventor, but fusion for all my cnc stuff.
