Weird, my wife used my safe for her FAL.
She didn't know where the key was or have access until she received her FAL
We used to soak it for a day or 2 (in the fridge) and it held good flavour - not sure how the safas do it thought
QS here - have you looked at corrugated iron (vertically laid) on a timber frame? It's a bit of a pain to flash the door but "cost effective".
Being in Hamilton, it might be worth having a look at 3...
I was looking at just the plunger attachment - to see if it would work in this ;) https://www.kmart.co.nz/product/campmaster-ultralight-hiking-stove-ultra-jet-1-43235865/
Has anyone tried one of these in a KMART Jet boil? https://bushbuck.co.nz/products/tomahawk-cooker-coffee-plunger?variant=32918875111523
Quick little mission to grab some cat food for a mate. Tricky going in the long grass, was too long to use the bipod and hard to spot if moving.
Cheers NGDave - What would you recommend looking at? Under the "SHIRTS AND JACKETS" I can only see winter jackets..
As mentioned above, Awakeri Shooting Federation is a good spot (I'm a member) and open to visitors on Sunday mornings. Best to come mid morning - pending the week there may be a "Comp" on so you may...
Saying that though, would look at a pellet cooker (oven with smoke feature) for the Mrs to use when I'm out for the morning etc.
We roll with the kamado for 70% of our cooks, great on temperature control and fuel consumption - using hardwood lump charcoal. If you're eating, get that delicious flavour for a little extra...
He shot that "shamwaa" right in the jaxie! :o
No back legs for them.. probably didn't matter as I'd be surprised if they ate it.. probably more of a photo opp
My second shed IS my next project!
do you know the code? I'll have a look down here in the BOP :)
Nevermind, just saw the photo ;)
Kiwilad2021 how did you get on with Benchmark 2 and your load development?
I've struggled with 150g SST and 2208 out of a 16in Tikka (should be easy to do right...) BUT found that some 168g ELDMs...
Have the Javelot Turbo, works a treat and prefer the colour to my mates Shooter 2x
If there's still some floating about I'd bee keen :)
I bought a couple of Okuma surfcasting sticks for the family last Christmas, super happy with them and would recommend.
Went with 14ft as NZ waves can be a little bigger to get over than elsewhere
Hey mate, I was in the same boat 2 months ago.
After MUCH research and listening to pest controllers etc. I settled on the Sytong XS03-35LRF Thermal Handheld Monocular With Rangefinder.
Ken (at...
I have this - both in .308 & .22 for this reason. Great little shooter the .22, knocking over bunnies out to 120 without much trouble and the familiarity aspect is
This is exactly how to "hunt" them.
Been on a few culling missions - with a subs in a suppressed .22, you can get 10 birds out of a tree no problem.
Hot & fast - Peacock patties are good, just...
this is more reasonable at $0.50 each

I picked up a couple sizes of the PRO-SHOT STAINLESS STEEL CLEANING ROD https://www.deltamike.co.nz/product/pro-shot-stainless-steel-cleaning-rod/
Wanted stainless & 1 piece.. these met the brief ...
Hi Coote, Any more updates with another year under the belt? Any changes to your kit that you've found to be effective/upgrades?
It's been great to read what you've shared so far, thanks for that!
My questions is.. river crossings - how will they go!?
