Trailer is a definite no go on this ride. It's a grade 4+ so is pretty gnarly in places. This is one reason why I also think 30L (Max) pack would be easier.

Not even close. Try some local cockies otherwise the waiau river down by my lyford. Just be cautious/carefully as Mason Hill sometimes has stock in it, may pay to pop in and check first.

I always carry a bipod, personally wouldn't be without one for long shots. Anything under 300yds, bipod stays in pack, anything over, plenty of time to take it out and put it on.
