Another night mission.
Was one of those strange ones....nice and dark, fish jumping everywhere but not many hook ups.
I managed to hook 4 landing 2....a 3.5lb Rainbow jack that was a bit slabby...

SMK's expand fine, you just have to make sure the tips are open and not folded over.
I use them in several calibres.

dannyb I had the same rifle/cal as my first wsm. Bought it second hand, previous owner had sanded out the pressure pad at end of stock to float the barrel and I was getting groups like yours - 2...

I've seen videos of different animals acting like this with people with these conditions but its pretty cool to experience it first hand.

My dog is a very energetic 3.5 yr old Vizla cross. He will not readily approach men and usually has his hackles up in their pressence. If I know the person he will relax but seldom let them pat him....

gimp yep I've struck it with the 7mm 180's. The 1st three boxes I got all had 1 or 2 with broken tips. I emailed Hornady with pictures and they had Steve send out a replacement box which also had 1...

A few hours chilling swinging flies, hooked 6, landed 3....kept a nice 5.5lb jack.
Still not huge numbers but the quality of the ones coming through is pleasing.
