Not sure if this was the case then, but you can download/cache imagery and Topo maps at a variety of resolutions. 20 being the highest (full-res LINZ Aerial phot), but obviously this impacts download...

What's the issue you're having Steve? Is it with downloading/caching the maps? Or the tracking? I've worked thru a few gremlins, so happy to help if I can.

I emailed the NZ Topo 50 team (poss a team of one), and yeah, resolution is due to file size.

I asked if it would be possible to download certain areas in higher res, and he said he'd look into...
