you probably have the bigger 9 inch diffs. (a copy of the chev 12 bolt).
the coil sprung bundera/Prado's came with 8 inch diffs.
the later 70 series came with 9 inch in the rear & a 8 inch high...

You may be right about the later models, but the older ones will not have the holes drilled to mount the disk or the brake calliper.
If you get all the parts from a later model they will all bolt up...
If you want to convert the drums to disk on older cruisers you need to replace the knuckles & steering arms as well.
The best bet is to get all the parts from a later model that came with disks as...
I've got a mate who had a pair similar to these.
They're great for wearing around camp or in the hut.
The only problem he had was when he went to use them some one else had them on.
Graham Henry wrote an article about this powder in the late eighties & recommended using IMR4831 data, that's what I did with a 280 & had no problems.
If it was me I'd get hidden cameras installed.
Catch them thieving on camera then lay a complaint with the police.
I'd also talk to a lawyer who specialises in this sort of thing.
