Yes...the track to the left of the swamp is still open to access the 100 acres, but could disappear at any time with the logging.
For those that know the area...the swamp is behind and to the right of the machinery and the cross roads are to the right, out of frame

There are still ways-and-means of hunting up there...just gotta put a bit more effort into it...as the loggers move a bit more to the north stands of trees they will chew it up a bit as this photo...

A lot of deer are shot on and around the 100 acres, many of them with the aid of spotlights...there are a couple of areas worth 'a sit'...call by sometime and i'll give you the nod where to go.
Winnie the poo lives there :)...not hard to find now, bloody big crossroads there now, just hang a left.
It is seven kilometres from the road end at Thompsons (Waikato side) to the summit...around six kilometres to the crossroads and then 15 minutes to the Hundred Acres.

No work has been done on the track as yet and the word is that it wont be started till mid December at the earliest...because there has been no vehicle access since Easter, the deer have been in...
run, jog, crawl...all these options are still there.
