Like any organisation (especially where mainly older men run the show), egomaniacs tend to rise to the top and their personal politics dictates the feel or mood.
I know from personal experience at...
The Hornady Precision Hunter ELD-X would be well worth your look.

I reload and am struggling to do better than the accuracy achieved with ADI Aussie Outback 55gr Sierra BK and 69gr Sierra HPMK. My pride is a bit damaged, but I can’t deny how brilliant the 55gr...
I’m shooting Tikka T3 7-08 with 22” barrel using 41.5gr 2208 under Nosler 140grBT. Average MV of 2770fps. Consistently accurate out to 300m, around half MOA.
I’m thinking of loading up 2209 just...
+1 on the Nosler Bal Tips and Partitions. I load and shoot .22, 6.5mm & 7mm and while I’ve tried several different brands and types (including Norma Vulkan, Barnes TTSX (very good at short range and...
All your comments are starting to make me think I should put my Tikka T3 7-08 with optilocks and VX3 up for sale. It’s even actually killed a few deer!
Sounds like I might get sooo much loot I could...
I tried Barnes 55gr TTSX in mine and they were awful as won’t stabilise. Yet they’re great in my 1-8” .223. If you can get them to shoot in your 22-250 I’d be keen to know what powder you use.

My T3 loves them too. I’m loading up with BM2 and 2208...haven’t come close to the factory performance yet. Will let you know if/when I do

“14000 square kilometres”...far out. It’s not like the region has copious grass to feed the desired stock animals, let alone these little buggers

Range practice day fee?

Slight correction...6 shot group GB
(Actually two different seating depths, but hey, Tikkas are rubbish [emoji106])

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the crimp still in the pocket?
Like Savage1 said, I don't even bother reloading Fed .223 brass. Waaay too much hassle

Yep, I've almost given up on my Tikkas too. Damned if I can get them to shoot into the same hole at 100metres. Useless....
Would have been keen. Bloody rain! Did the shoot go ahead? If not, when might the next shoot be?

Barnes TTSX 55g won't shoot in my slow twist 22-250, so I suspect your 223 won't like them either. But those V-Max 40 or 53/55gr are a great bullet.
It sounds like you're new to reloading? If so, I...
So did the 10 x I gave you go ok? Or were they just to start the load dev?

Ask the Kaweka Ranges Hunting Fishing Camping and Tramping Facebook page. Someone will know for sure. Last I heard the river ford was pretty rough/impassable. But that was a while ago

If my guns got stolen, I'd want one fairly soon after as well 🤣 Quite comforting

37.5gr AR2208 under 40gn V-max is insane in my Tikka. I'll let you work up your own seating depth for yours, but am confident I'd drop Reds with a shot in the eye at...
Haha [emoji23] 6 pages and counting viper! My experience is second hand Tikka T3 are awesome value for the right money. However, a 100 year old Carl Gustaf 6.5x 55 Mauser in top condition is the...
Best advice is buy a couple of reloading guides first and see if you scare yourself off [emoji12] might save a small fortune

Simply because the AO had approved the cabinet as compliant ie. of sturdy construction. Yet one solid strike with a mallet proved it wasn't so sturdy. Interpretation seems to be a common theme.
