Fantastic work as per usual Mr Gruff
Took Ski (or Ski Bone, as I like to call her) on a trip last year -she's only just turned two. She loved the hunting but was not as keen on the packraft out, hates the cold...

Took these to Africa with my .270 after running out of time to do some loads. Worked well on everything out to 200m. All shoulder or heart shots.
Taxidermy in progress, he was quite the beast. A real battler, his whole face on this side was swollen badly around his eye and both ears had bad tears in them.
212gr Eldx opened up well, pulping...
300PRC'd this guy last year with a 212gr Eldx at 350m. Does the job. Dropped back to 180gr for a bit more speed lately. That rifle is a truck gun tho... too jolly heavy.

A good friend of mine Larry Jackson has just launched a website for his services -he does high quality stockwork and some gunsmithing out of Whangarei. I've used a 6mm Rem he made, and the stock and...
Looking forward to seeing the completed rifle
Picked up this very average condition Sako Forester 243 on the weekend. Pretty tired after a life on a Stewart Island fishing boat. Gave it a bit of a spruce up and threw on the Leupold M8 & rings....
Chopped it in half. No real need for them to be that long. Warehouse jandals are fine.
Posted this before. Just sold to a mate. Was a great little shooter. 6.5 Grendel, Howa mini that I restocked. Talleys, vx1 and rem700 bottom metal. Bobbed the bolt shroud, added a alum bolt knob etc....
Yeah only put them up after questions were asked. Hmmmm
How slippery is that seller??? Fails to admit to the missing rear sight, the chip on the butt and the cracked buttplate... photos conveniently cropped... His bore condition assessment would need to...
Awesome history there. Packrafts served us well on Lake Katherine and for fishing on the Sound.

If that middle rifle bolt has a butterknife, with that style bottom metal - that's the holy grail in my opinion hahaha
First session with the scope went ok. Only had a few rounds. After a few sighters this was the 3 shot group at 100m:

Ran out of ammo to get it totally spot on, but it's a good start....
Awesome photo from Barry. Which one is your great Grandad mate?
Those SMLE snipers look like the PP&Co scope versions.

Always been keen on one of these -a brit WW1 SMLE with a sniper scope. After looking into the three main versions the Winchester A5 version looked the most achievable:

Looks like you might have to drift some pins out... I'll have a look at mine today. It's a Pre64, so may not be quite the same.

If you push down on the shroud to expose the rear of the firing pin (sear catch), can you half turn this sear catch to remove?
Nice results. I thought you'd be enjoying that nicely fitted Winchester buttplate though? Haha
I've gotta say I dont think this is speaking "ill of the dead" -more like calling it it like it is. A spade is a spade. No doubt Wallis had his moments but I would think on a forum, we could...
