I was running 70g of 2217 with an Amax seated at mag length, 85mm from memory. Gave me 2950 fps and shot 0.6 moa.

Defiantly get a side mount. Yes they do have to be drilled and tapped, I did mine myself.

I run a load of 50g of 2217 behind a 140g Amax. It goes well in my looong barreled mauser, and shoots well in a mates tikka and a lakelander.
