This is the Sauer rifle in question, with a Pard 008 NV scope alongside a lone boar I shot the other night. Thankfully, I've had no misfires hunting, only sighting in on the bench.

Interesting, I’ll try soaking the bolt as suggested and try the method shown if the problem persists.
Good idea, I’m onto it.
No, thankfully. I have another Sauer 100 in 270, never had a problem.
My VX5 HD firedot has the same problem, I'm in Brisbane so I'll get onto NIOA this week, thanks for the heads up.
I have a Sauer 100 rifle in 308, every so often I get a misfire, light primer strike on factory ammunition, which I only use. I thought I might disassemble the bolt to see if the firing pin spring is...

A quick trip for a meat animal late last year in SE Queensland, not what you would call a hunt, more of a cull at a large cattle property.
Mate and I went to look for rusa deer at a nearby property...
Apparently Greentree lost a couple of US sponsors after news of his poaching antics was made public, rightly so.

I've got the ordinary blade version, might be cheaper to buy online. R93, is that old dog in your avatar the culprit?
Informative explanation Tahr on steels, thanks.
Timmay, what powder are you using?
Dorkus, what steel is the blade? Nice bit of kit.
