The last lot of CAC Military ammo I had was loaded with cordite dated 1957 and was very accurate ,
you are right most .303's were not well maintained
I didn't say Cordite was corrosive I said it is Erosive it burns very hot and stuffs the throat in a few rounds, many a good rifle has been ruined by using military surplus ammo.
Have you had the barrel slugged? I have done some and I know others who have done it or had it done none I have heard of are even close to .312"
most are .314" up to .317" my cast bullets are .314"...
Don't use any CAC military FMJ that is the biggest killer of rifle barrels the Cordite is extremely errosive and the primers contain mercury
