I have decided to take both a camera and spotter as temperatures and weather could limit the sole use of a camera. Batteries and charging things may be difficult unless in base camps.

That footage is good enough to score an animal reasonably well.

I take it you can take a pic at that magnification and zoom in for more detail?

Exactly. I use a spotting scope for detail.
You know no matter what animal you are looking at with binos whether it needs more attention.
