If you go west coast, you will still find some bulls are living in the scrub at lower altitude so can target them.

I did a wapiti block with a huntec bivvy tent for 10 days. that was interesting sandfly wise. They bugger off on dark so not that bad.

Dont know if you already do it but always make your skinning cuts with the knife blade upwards cutting from underneath the skin , you will get half the amount of hair coming out that way.
