FAAA that's bad CCI's only split the necks a little. I am begining to think that 17 must really bush brass to the limit as a material.

I tried some 20gr Hornady ammo. Didn't shoot as well in the Savage unfortunately. I think the 17hmr was designed for the 17 grain projectiles so your rifle may not like them?

Yes I have had a few split 17 HMR possums also. They tend to split all over the place, some even leaked gas! :sick:

I had some old CCI that did that. sent it back for some new stuff.
