Yep mate got one only a month old and it died, so they gave him a new one and it wouldn't start straight out of the box.

I got one from www.bunnings.co.nz/ryobi-4-stroke-petrol-270cc-generator-3800w_p00251102 which works very well. The only down side is it is pull start, but starts real easy first time on choke.
