I've recently had a prefit Criterion barrel fitted to my Rem 700 .223. Early days yet but so far, so good.
No problem getting 3 shots inside 25mm at 200m, bore fouling minimal thru bore scope.

Take the screw right out, it's only there to allow user to increase weight above factory setting of internal weight adjustment screw.
1x sporter 527 .204 here.
I imported a V1 direct from Magnetospeed when the device first became available. I am completely satisfied with it's performance and reliability. Thought I might upgrade to V3 about a year ago but...
My Rem 700 Titanium shot very well with 120s over 47gn 2208, charge seemed about sensible max.
22in barrel, clocked around 3080. Also accurate with 120s and 45gn of 748 or 4064 but a little slower...
Grayboe stock?
I bought a box of Hdy 190s to load for my Rem 700 .308, listed as 1:10. They are same length as the 220gn cast lead pointed boat-tail slugs I've been using lately with excellent accuracy.

There's an interesting thread leading to some useful information on the subject of Nosler brass manufacture on longrangehunting.com. Thread is headed - Nosler brass strikes again.
What sort of rocket fuel are you loading into those Greg? Strong velocity for that bullet weight eh.
I've tried several 115-120gn bullets in my Rem 700. They all grouped best with 53/2213, velocities ran around 2950. As yet, not tried 2217, but RL19 and 22 showed some promise.
Back off the sizing bushing so that the doughnut is not touched. Solved the seating issue with my 270WSM. My Forster outside neck turner will not clean off doughnuts without cutting into the shoulder.
I've sent you a PM dealing with the slugs.
My Rem 700 XCR grouped these ok with 56/2213 but MV well below it's potential. Any attempt to push them over 3200 blew groups well out. If you need a few more, I know where a part-box might be found!...
My 24" Rem 25/06 grouped well with the Swifts in front of 56/2213SC. 3200.
N550 is rocket fuel with 120gn slugs in my 25yrs old .284, 3350 and good hunting accuracy. Best performance with 140s has always come from a case-full of WW ball powder, currently 780. Mine has the...
I've owned a couple of 700 270s, a 22" and currently a 24" barrel. Both rifles shot most accurately with that 140BTSP in front of 60gn N165, clocked around 2940. Last two 3-shot groups at 200M went...
I've fired a few shots thru one, found stock a bit short for my liking. Sweet little rifle though, doesn't look cheap and nasty, grouped very well.
Hope that's all the bad news I get today Greg!
The Savage 7/08 was a new pre-Accustock stainless synthetic, not tuned in any way. Accuracy opened my eyes a bit. Did not try 2209 here because I try to avoid compressed loads, have seen projectiles...
I've just done some development for a Savage Weather Warrior 7/08. Using the Nosler 140 BT, 48gn R17 clocked 2868, group 58mm @ 200M. 47gn N550 did 2900, group 46mm @ 200M. Using the Berger 140VLD,...
Murom - initially LR in a 25/06, then SR in my own .223. Strong loads in both cases but no problems with Federal or Fiocchi. Not tried Winchester lately, gave them away when it appeared that the...
Have had exactly the same problem with Murom primers, rifle owners not amused!
First attempt I shot a 65mm vertical string @ 200M, 2 shots together, another well out. Bit suspicious. And not many slugs to play with!
I've been asked to try 162 Amax in a Savage 7mm08 with a nominal 1:9.5 twist. Waste of time? Rifle groups well with 140 Nosler.
Maybe Andrew Rackstraw, 2 Argyle Grove, Upper Hutt?
