seen one by pleasant point golf course...another closer to waitui (saw that one over a 3 year period so might be a few) and one other in hill country just south of pleasant point.... hard case how...
01;30 today..SH1 just south of st andrews township...eg along straight halfway to bridge..no more than 300yards from houses a wallaby sitting on side of road wondering about the two moons barreling...
tails make awesome casserole....meat makes good jerky..... steaks are ok... very lean and bland if you take young one.

single hare at about hundy...it was moving and about to hit heavy cover when 50grn zmax at 3600fps interrupted its plans.
finally tried out the model #2 first shot dead rabbit at 10 yards,reloaded and shot hare at 50....not bad for first two rounds out of new rifle...dont know if will bother trying to sight it in LOL.
