and my .223 will poke pretty much anything into around an inch
yip said it already.....seen some pretty groups shot at hundy with a rifled barrel and under 40 yards there isnt an animal on earth that isnt takable (yes the big 5 would be a challenge but doable)
using that logic the .22lr would win hands down...... and yes Ive shot both magpies and rabbits with the poohseventy.
after shooting just about every animal in NZ with mine its hard not to agree.

Dublin...no issue getting x39mm ammo,reloading subsonic is piss easy too...... agree .308 is another good option...goats are easy with .223 very easy.
