seems your experience looking at balls differs from mine....
absolutely nothing to do with case marks...EVERYTHING to do with ease of slipping expander ball in and out of case...the OP said has big effort when using press...
by using fine sandpaper to take...
if you have the LEE case trimmer set and use your cordless drill to do the deburring etc...poke a case in the holder end ,put in drill and give it a polish using a bit of choreboy cloth or fine steel...
take dies back....or get some others..... or polish the shite out of them.
your not using the plurry toothpaste stuff are you???/
whats weird is the bottom photo...shows a line across rim...now thats not from die..die doesnt touch it,only the base. you are missing something simple.
are you lubing neck??? makes job easier by a heck of a lot...powdered graphite is awesome for this.
