thats relative...... dont over steel it.... just enough to restraighten edge...and when getting..not when it IS blunt...get it onto the stone and put that fine feather edge back on.

if its very light in weight....and a wee sliver burns fast and sparks I would suggest Totara ...the red colour and yellow flecks suggest it.

well happy jack.....the knifecut version of the bushmans fried...called a rabbiters knife does come with sheath and steel.
35 years ago it was called a bushmans friend........ maybe the PC crowd didnt like the gender specific name....
the green river is same shape as what I use...the yare an awesome knife and will do pretty much anything...... welcome to the bacho club...we have one in each vechille and they get used a LOT.......
mine are made from old school sachel bag...about 2.5mm thick and rather stiff....
that will buff out easy enough.....
the one in the middle looks like something I could handle using... we likes what we likes LOL.

strangely enough my first sheath knife was an origonal bowie...made in japan....had same leather handle as one above...blade smaller than yours....

well I LIKE svord knives.....own two,both folders of the peasant style.... dressed deer with both..the big one definately easier than the mini,which I did a sheep with just cause I could..... keep...
soak in diesel/wd40...put blade in vice GENTLY and work handle back n forward over n over again....rust will go away....done it a few times over the years with old ones that were seized completely.
