New scope mount arrived from USA, but looking way too low, only a millimetre if that between the barrel and scope. What do you guys think, too...
Brilliant, thanks
Hi Team,
Anyone know who to buy March scopes from here in NZ?
Thanks grandpamac, at this point I am thinking I will reduce the load. I have a wife and kids to think about so playing risky with loads is not something I am keen to do.
Thanks for all your help. I...
Hi Gkp, its a Hardy barrel
Hi Tentman, thanks so much for this input. Could you please send me the quickload results you got, I would be real keen to see what it says.
It makes me a bit nervous the Hornady are publishing load...
Hi Kiwijames, I unfortunately don't have a friend with Quickload, sounds like a great bit of software.
If there is anyone out there who could help me with a Quickload check please shout out.
Good point, though I'm not chasing velocity. It just happened my best accuracy and lowest ES was at this speed. Would be happier with a speed in the 2900-3000fps if it means I have the same accuracy...
Hi Benji,
it was a mild 20 degree day back in March when I tested these. No issues with primer pockets, they felt the same seating the next batch of primers.
Wow, that is very interesting. I am way above Quickload recommendations, even Hornady have their guide above the max....
Some very valid points GWH, it was about 20 degrees in March before lockdown that I did the testing, but as you say a 30 degree day and the rifle in the sun might be all it takes to push it into the...
Thanks Jit.
Hi Ryan, yes I agree it does not take much for a boarder line load to go from good to bad. This is why I thought I better check with the wisdom of the group. Even a temp change could push it over the...
Hi Puffin, Chronograph is a Shooting Chrony - Master Beta. My speeds were tested over 2 days, 2 x 5 shot groups. Day 1 group averaged 3072fps, day 2 group averaged 3071fps.
I have only tested over...
Thanks Grandpamac, that's some pearls of wisdom there.
That small amount of brass flow into the extractor port defiantly has me questioning the limit I'm pushing, and the days at the range were...
Thanks Gkp, that is what I was thinking too.
I have read Nathan Fosters reloading books and he mentions the same, though I know there is more experienced people than I on this forum so I thought it...
Around .030" jump, which is a lot but my Mag can only accept a COAL of 3.4 so I stick below that.
Hi Team,
I'm in need of some wisdom from the forum.
I have worked up a load for my 7RM that can shoot the hair off the nut of a fly at 100y (exaggerating a bit).
However the load is a lot...
Hi team,
I just upgraded my old GPS62sc but my old maps will not work with this new fancy Rino 750.
Who makes the best maps for the Rino, or are they all the same?
If this topic has already been...
Hi,
How much 7mm Rem Mag Brass do you have in stock, I'm after 150 as long as they are all from the same batch.
Thanks
Zeiss Conquest V6 5-30x50 MOA reticle.
I picked up a box of projectiles from a bargain bin but I can’t find any load data for them.
Does anyone have a old Nosler reloading manual that has a load for the Nosler 140gr fail safe in 7mm-08?...
