Going to put the chrony on the next batch... just seeing if any accuracy potential. QL say this should've been around 2980 fps (it was bang on predicting speed with 2217). 64.5gn N560 should be...
Tried n560 today, fierce mirage but 62.5gn shot 0.85" or thereabouts. 0.5gn increases to 64gn opened out although the last group 2 keyholed. Will try to 65gn and see if they come back in but might be...
What's his company name, nothing on google?
Love to get my hand on Norma MRP...any one seen it in NZ?
I've loaded some up with N560 to try. Looks good...the different load ratio will make a big difference. Also, confession time, rechecked loads and was putting a slight crimp in...so backed out...
LOL...bloody forum trolls!
Still working on it!
It is your Saum from memory...!
No...but I will now...
What did you make it from...I have little to no engineering ability... MSL
Yep...N560 runs a little denser but crikey great velocity!
Yes fair bit of tapping with 2217...even stuck one of the kids electric toothbrushes against the case but didn't make much difference.
Does it have another name of equivalent in ADI...can't see it on Quickload....
The BC on the sierra is a bit low as I want a long range load...?
Do you mark the projectiles when seating to mag fit? Which make is SGK?
60.3gn of 2209 is only 101.1% L/R and 3000 fps @ 62191psi
2213 looks pretty good actually...the L/R is 104% with 63gn indicating 3023fps @ 61502psi.
I like the 150gn LRAB as a "do all" round, and want mag length so think an alternative to 2217 mightve preferable...
With Norma 7saum brass can go up to 67.5gn 2217 with 150gn LRABs @ 2.830 COL. Problem is the L/R is over 113% giving a very compressed load resulting in marked projectiles from the seating die.
