Good idea, use 140g projectiles, magnum primers and 2208 powder for a quick shove in that short tube, the velocity and long range retained energy will surprise you.
A 16 inch 7mm saum in a Remington model 7 /Tikka T3 pushes 150g Ballistic Tips at 3000fps with Remington brass, 2950ish with other brands.
