The teepee type they often use? Think that’s called the Front Range
I went for an unarmed wander up the Huxley a month or so back. Got my Terrano to Monument hut no problem. 90% of the track was all good, in fact very good in many places, just with a couple of pinch...
Most likely something is shifting from side to side, to make that pattern so repeatable. Previous answers have pretty well covered it.
Bedding/action screws are a solid possibility, can hold the...
If you’re not sure what to look out for in a second-hand rifle, could be well worth asking on here if someone with enough experience would be willing to call past the store and inspect it for you,...
If on apple, when you’re on the photo library popup that you select the photo from to be uploaded, in the bottom left is an ‘options’ button.
Tap this, then under ‘format’ choose ‘most...
Excellent. Stellar looking country too, good to see you’re back in business.
So I was sitting in a backcountry hut the other week. Main divide out the window with tahr, cham, and stags frolicking on the alpine meadows. Pure bliss, at least until I made the mistake of visiting...
Yep, the Tekapo webcam.
Pretty sure the NZHunter crew have gone along purely as camera crew/tag-a-longs when they didn’t get their own block one year. Should be fine if it’s as a designated non-hunter, I’d imagine.
Bit of a silly thing to say.. hunters do their ting year round, trampers and various other rec users do their thing year round, why should the roar be any different?
To Rees - every public land...
53 rabbits and 3 roos with the 223 for an evening wander, then a mouse with the Sportivas and another bunny with the truck on the way home.
If it’s not going to be in an uncomfortable position, would it be a possibility to whip a cable tie on there and crank it up tight. If the squeak is coming from movement between the internal...
And sooner than that if you’re a poor shot.

Sea-to-summit Spark series might meet your needs. Further Faster were advertising some sharp run-out deals on them recently.
Good haul yesterday evening.. 64 bunnies, 3 roos, 1 hedgehog, and a hat-trick of ferrets. (Actually got another ferret with the truck on the way back out to the road.. silly thing, I was barely above...
Just received my renewal notice from AMI for my ~6.5k Terrano.. increasing from $524.03 to $740.24, on top of an $80-odd increase last year
More than a 41% increase.. guess it’s time to change...
Love it, fantastic photo.
The nz topo50 app sat photos will be deliberately low-res due to being fully offline - needs to be able to store them all on your phone. Google maps and other viewers etc will download as-you-go,...
Plain old CRC works nicely for that too.
I saw the figures a good few years back of the uk with ‘mandatory’ 3rd party insurance, where they get absolutely reamed as a result. 92% actually had insurance.
At the time, NZ was reportedly on...
80 more bunnies yesterday evening. (83 if you include the 3 with the truck on the way home)
Only missed five shots all night, which I’m particularly happy about. Two of those were due to trying to...
Sitting/kneeling height shooting sticks are 100% my recommendation for that style of shooting. (Just spent the evening splatting bunnies in country just like you describe, shooting sticks used for...
From memory the UHF needs to be switched on for most of that to work, you haven’t switched the radio off by chance? Don’t have my one any longer to check for myself.
Your nztopo will be set to a different format. NZTM or degrees, minutes, seconds etc. Google earth most likely just on simple lat/long. You can change this in the nz topo50 app settings if needed.
