I reckon this rifle is not going to stabilise anything at all marginal for a 1:14. Probably the rational thing to do is load up the SBTs and go hunting!

Yes I'm pretty pleased with that MV. A big improvement over 2206H and groups identical size. I was surprised and disappointed that the oryxes didn't shoot - I did try a really wide range of seating...

Just to report back on progress. I found the IMR 8208 XBR excellent with the Sierra SBT 55 gr Game Kings. I get 3590 fps (and remember this is a short barrel for a 22-250) and groups of around .45...

Good luck with it. BTW we haven't mentioned seating depth but in my case the lands are a long way off so I'm just seating pretty much to the book OAL of 2.350", which gives me plenty in the case...

Twist is 1 in 14. 26 inch that’s a good long barrel alright 👍
