If you're considering the 7-270wsm then you should also consider the 7-300wsm.
If you decide on using a long action, then I'd go for the 7mm Blaser Magnum.
Mintie I'll take it if OP doesn't want it.
I've been happy with my Outdoor Research overtrousers. Would recommend buying ones with a near full length zip - good for sliding over boots and for venting when needed.
Awesome thread. Nice to know they are built by HB. My favourite is a Gransfors Bruk small forest axe I got while in Aus.

Thanks Ryan_Songhurst Good to hear your liked the steel. It's a shame they dont make the Steep Country with G10 scales as an option. I have read of others getting water under that rubbery handle...
Hey, just wondering if anyone is using this knife and what peoples thoughts are on it? Is it too short? Real comfortable in hand. Yanks seem to like it but that might be because of their US made...
Signed. I'm surprised this hasn't had the traction that the tahr petition had given the number of fishos.
Just took Blackwatch's last bag. They have more Winchester brass due mid Oct.
Done. I definitely see this as the start of a slippery slope.
I'd also call Stager Sports
/Hugh Bradley and see what they have on their shelves too.
Cool thread and awesome idea on the family's behalf.
