That stuff they used was factory rated as 3,000 fps so I guess at 18" it would be something like 2875 at best, but as you say a good bc to carry it along.
As I mentioned further up, they used 135 grain factory Federal. On the program they made a point of panning onto the ammo box.

Look at this. With its 18" (or 20") barrel if that's not a gun for all seasons, what the heck is?
Its a .270 - has been for a while. Often referred to. I expect it is to do with being able to display Federal factory ammo on the series. Shorter barrel .270 is a good choice though.
