In the early 80's if I bought a soup for lunch instead of a roll, it would pay for a box of 22 ammo each week. Jeez I was skinny back then.

A short outage seems to be a way to ratchet up prices to the max any person can pay.
A bit like selling a property by tender. Not a fair price, just the maximum possible price.
