quentin, cheers will bear that one in mind. Make sure I have enough 'meat' there to play. Won't do it myself as I don't have a tapping kit. At the moment with lengths of pull / barrel/ suppressor etc...

Thinking I might whip an inch or so off the barrel while it's in bits and threading it. Gotta work out ideal length of pull then hope can can go inside a very freefloating barrel channel

Another good idea spotted, use an old wooden stock and cut out the magwell/trigger and then glue a new bit of wood round it so the fine details work is done.

I'm happy enuff with mine, it's not up to the cz455 but having said that I don't try as hard with the ruger

Have been thinking I might make my own stock for the 10/22 being a leftie I'm using a ambidextrous stock...know 10/22 aren't the most accurate rifle etc but figure a 22 is a good place to start.
