Do they have categories for private and public land with regards to winning heads?
Great bang for buck. I have the Edge Pro copy. Blade doesn't need to be clamped so good for filleting knives with longer blades.
I have one similar to this. Pretty solid
I have the new Ego chainsaw. Comes with 30 and 40cm bars. The new one has a few upgrades over the old one and has a much faster chain speed. Such a handy piece of kit for small jobs!

Due to open in the summer.
I'm guessing they will try close road this winter. As they won't want trampers/hunters wandering past a private secluded...
My Lowa rangers are alot better then I expected with keeping my feet nice and dry. Even quickly crossing deep creeks I still have dry boots, Gaiters help lots too.
Formthotics are good. Made in NZ I think. I use hairdryer to heat up.
If you not getting very good responses with your roars, try roaring in the other direction. And if he stops roaring there's a good chance he is coming in for look.
Bit of a chill in the mornings now.... perhaps stags are starting to think about the roar
Absolutely no way I'll be flying with Helisika again
If you want to save some cash, Get a edge pro copy from aliexpress. If you like it you can upgrade the stones easily enough. Great for all sorts of blade shapes
Such a shame, great place to take groups of kids to get them into the NZ back country.
Can only assume that it will be heavily monitored with cameras and alike to act as a deterrent to stop...
Rain and wind seems to quieten them down. Or maybe you can't hear them as well in the bush?
Definitely sounds like roar is slightly later this year, southerly should get them going in the north though

had the VX5 for 4 years, cant fault it, great in low light, and love the compactness.
yep same setup, go with the low, perfect amount of clearance. Only down side is vx5 has long bell so not much room for adjustment forward or back.
Quite enjoyed listing to the Paul Michaels's podcast with Ben May
Nice head, 162
Cool, cheers
Are you allowed dogs up there? saw somewhere dogs were not allowed in Kaimais?
I was looking at getting a pair of these too. my Fairydown ones have finally started to come apart after 10years of abuse. Might look at something different after reading the above.
I use ihikeGPS NZ which seems to work great. Most of the time I carry a small light weight power bank as well.
