Thanks for all the replys. Had a quick look at a huntech 40l at h&f today pretty basic pack what am wanting, good size but the shoulder straps could do with a little more padding and a chest strap...

what about katmandu packs or is the quality crap?

Not to noisy in the bush? and also the brown colour puts me off a bit.

currently using a stoney creek 18l day pack which has been ok. But once you put your basics and a jacket in theres no room for any meat etc.
Been looking at 40l packs no bigger only using it for...
