Make sure you remove the silver membrain off it, I find it quick and easy to cut in half(but not threw the silver skin) and skin off in each direction in one swoop like skinning a fish fillet.
Cham tastes like it smells...BAD
The best Advice i can give you is go back to where you got that spiker and get another one,at least it will be edible:thumbsup:
