Looks to me like an infection from hopping over a fence/log etc....I am no vet tho.
I am also in the if in doubt throw it out camp.

My Great Dane has similar low on his chest/brisket....was advised by vet nothing to worry about but I dont intend to eat him.
As above was the animal othewise healthy looking in general condition...
