Well you might be sensible. Old habits die hard. My mind boggles at the stuff my father pulls out of his pack. I like fresh food but he takes it to the extreme.

Nice one Kiwi Greg. Dad has a cool picture of him outside the original Mole hut knee deep in snow over Xmas it would be late 70's early 80's. I too have spent a bit of time in that area.
Are they flying people from the Nelson College camp?
Would love to take advantage of this but alas life has other plans as well. I will be walking into David saddle around Feb, would have saved 2-3 days walking but oh well.
odds0und I was more asking about in the helicopter period. I hunt block 1/2 frequently on foot usually head in around the same time the helicopters fly in there. May need to head in earlier.
Cheers, I was looking at an older one. Block 1 seems ridiculous, it isn't hard to access at all. Are walk in hunters still able to access these areas? I couldn't find mention of it on the DoC website.
Have they released an updated map of the new areas?
