Yeah, I totally get that and was probably a bit harsh in my post :P
Just getting my closet socialist on.
I bought a rifle new off a store for $800. Decided I didn't actually want it a month later, and took it back in to see if they'd buy it back. I figured since they'd already made a profit on me the...
I have a stainless 6.5x55 Howa that I'm thinking of selling if you aren't set on .308... It's brand new, bought it a couple of months back and haven't taken it out of the safe yet.
All colors are gender neutral if you subscribe to the "fuck what society thinks" train of thought.
Since we're valuing rifles in here... how much would you pay for a Howa Ranchland .223 in a Boyds stock, Harris bipod with podlock, DPT muzzle can, Talley rings and a Diamondback 4-12x40?
Cloud storage already has redundancy - if you upload a file to Dropbox etc, it's stored on multiple servers in separate locations. There's no need to store things on Dropbox and and external hard...
What you're saying is true to a degree, but there is a vast difference between Megaupload (which was predominantly used by people to shared pirated copies of films/TV/apps), and secure cloud hosting...
About $40. I'm keen for one as well.
Definitely hit up Aoraki. Awesome company to deal with. They've got PMC brass case, boxer primed 55gr FMJ for $56/100.
Well, they did have it until gimp cleaned them out at least. There might be...
Don't mistake my curiosity for caring. Means I don't have to go down to the depot tomorrow and pick them up
This seemed like the most appropriate place to post this question...
What's the law regarding courier companies handling ammunition/firearms? I ordered a few hundred rounds of ammo with the mail...
+1 for the Howa. Easily the best sub-$1000 action in my opinion.
You could get the Ranchland - they come threaded and 20" factory barrel.
Only $900 from Reloaders for a 7mm08 - Howa 1500...
+1 for Howas. My 223 has a 4-12 Diamondback, Boyds stock and DPT can, and is consistantly sub MOA. Got a 0.4 and 0.5 at the range a couple of weeks ago.
This is possibly why I impulse bought...
The ATA semis are quite nice - something like this. ATA 12G Auto Cent Syn/soft Duck 28" M/C - picture, come.the, ata, century, one, best, guns, ... - Serious Shooters
I was approximating the number of groups we shot. It did a couple of really crappy ones with Belmont before we switched to Hornady.
My mother had a rumbling appendix for years, finally ended up in so much pain one night that she could barely move. Straight to Dunedin hospital with suspected appendicitis - they told her that they...
Welcome mate, always good to see more guys from Dunedin on here! Do you use the Leith Valley range, or go down to Bruce in Milburn?
:D:D :D
... there's forum VIP pricing at Shooters Supplies? :o
Sorry, just talked to Dax and I was wrong on that - It was the cheap 55gr Belmont stuff. I'm in your camp when it comes to copper. I have a $700 Howa Ranchland in 223 that has only been boresnaked a...
I can answer these as I was shooting with Dax (and he has probably forgotten that this thread exists :P ). Was warm to the touch, but not particularly hot. Twist rate is 1:9.
Shot a couple of three...
You must have missed the part where he finds the M24 too bulky.
There must be torches that are perfectly capable at ~200m that are smaller (around the size of the P7) but better/cheaper.
Flatmate with the M24 checking in :D
gadgetman and mudgripz are the NZHS torch wizards.
Cambodia. There's a couple of shooting ranges just outside of Phnom Penh, the capital. They're technically illegal, but the government turns a blind eye because they're such a good money spinner...
