Freshwater was my pick, but I haven’t been to much of the island. Definitely looks different now (or it did 15-20 years ago!).
I know the Mason area was farmed, but I didn’t see any rivers or inlets...

I agree with you on the second photo, Mt Anglem is in a totally different direction from that viewpoint.

Left-hand skin and head look like a red, other skins might be whitetail.

Can’t be too many areas that were in pasture on Stewart Island, but some may be covered in scrub nowadays.
