I rekon the brake cleaner is a bit too risky, unless you pull all the sensitive parts off first. But if you are going to pull it all apart then might as well just clean it the old fashioned way.

I just used paslode degreaser on my ar and so far so good. ill let you lot know in a week or two if the finish degrades etc.
No need to remove any plastic etc with the paslode stuff :)
Only thing...

So the can says it is safe on plastics, leaves no residue, cleans and dries quickly, will not harm electronics on Paslode guns.

Im going to call Paslode when they are open and ask if it is safe on...
