jpurdon, I second (or third) the SNDWAY. I have the 1000A as well and is plenty useful and accurate. Have dropped it, bashed it against the quad etc. and still works great

I have been well sorted. <3
Lauries Hut, yeah, very close to Wigram.

Thanks everyone for the replies so far :) gonetropo, I'll take you up on your offer, thanks. No rush, whenever you can. Dannyd, I KNOW people from Oxford, so that counts :P
Hi Team!
After a recent trip to Waimate, I realised my head warmer (cheap Bunnings beanie) was woefully inadequate.
Would like some thoughts, advice, suggestions about a quality, affordable...
I guess the same question can be asked about a stock. According to the legislation, a stock is a firearms part, even needing a 43a to order online. However, according to the register's definition, a...
I'll add my HIGH rating for the Ruger American Ranch in 5.56 (.223 Rem).
I have put just on a 1000rds through mine, and even with cheap as steel case stuff, it is very accurate.
My bolt has...
@Nugget, for the muzzle forwards, get a crush washer. This applies constant pressure forward and solves the self-unscrewing problem.
I second Micky Duck, I have several Waitaki's and they are very effective.
They are just chunky (Like me), but overall not too long and will last forever!
I currently have an older VX1 2-7x32 on my .375. It find it lightweight, plenty of eye relief and easily does out to 300m, which is the distance I'm comfortable with.
Previously wore a 2.5-10, but I...
I really rate the Fullfield IV scopes! I have 2-10x on my 7mm Muaser and my .22 Mag and have 3-12 on my .223. They have great glass, hold tracking well and have proven durable for me.
Certainly food for thought.
Thanks for the confirmation information Team!
Hi Team,
I'm toying with the idea of a lever rifle, for fun/enjoyment more than serious hunting etc.
Before I fork out money however, I just want to confirm what the limit is on tube(magazine)...
30.06king, as a matter of interest, what rifle have you got that's chambered in .375Ruger?
How does recoil compare to a comparative rifle in .375H&H?
My 2c :
Had a Burris Fullfield 2.5 - 10 on my No.1 in .375 H&H, worked well but reticle too "busy" for what I needed.
Swapped to an older Leupold 2-7x32, pefection!
+1 for Ballistol.
Also it smells pretty.
What is your accuracy like with the short barrel?
Do you use fine or coarse salt?
Average penetration?
Dusty Fog, let's have a closer look at that rifle then please :)
What ammo were you looking for...for academic reasons of course :)
Some warm water, Ballistol and elbow grease might do the trick.
Fiocchie Perfecta ammo and PPU ammo are generally slightly milder loads compared to others. This has been my experience when looking for common factory loafs for my Ruger Scout.
Immaculate Ruger M77 Hawkeye in oddball (dead) caliber : 300RCM.
As far as I was able to find out is, if not very nearly the only one, then very actually the only one in NZ.
20" barrel with Leupold...
Amazing craftsmanship by nevereadyfreddy !
Ready for another 40 years of cutting up family food and pass on to my kids!
Hugely appreciative of his generosity!

I have Waitaki's on my rifles. They are very quiet, but it's like having a VW beetle attached tobthe front of the rifle.
If I have to start over again, Gunworks would be my first and last stop!!
