    18inch is about as short as I would go for a general use rifle mines 18.5

    other calibers work better if you want something real short

    get a dpt you can have 1" in front of the muzzle...

    get a dpt
    you can have 1" in front of the muzzle or 12" like I do

    just keep in mind that every one inch forward is about equal to 5 inchs behind the muzzle suppression wise
