Yes it does but apparently it is no more dangerous than some semi auto rifles with a floating firing pin reloading the next round and the firing pin lightly tapping the primer it does so....I am sure...
I have a rifle that came with it, Gunworks did the work. I don't use (the half-cock safety) though.
