Yep. Light coats and spray from a reasonable distance to allow the drops to "build". Too close and you end up with a semi slick mess.

Good on ya! I love tinkering with stuff too but I don't think I'm brave enough to do that to my rifles. Only one way to really learn though and that's by getting stuck into it.
