I got a complete firing pin from the Winchester distributor in Auckland in the end.
I have put a few coats of matte clear over the stock to help resist wear. the finish is really nice and grippy....
Out of interest sake,
The sako ammo claimed 2917fps on the box.
I recorded a average speed of 2918fps over 5 rounds with a spread of 30 fps.
Not bad for factory ammo
