Spuhr mounts are but need torque wrench. Been using Warne QD for many years swapping between scopes and red dots.
That die does a tidy job
Did some 55gr soft points 223 subsonics for myself on my gear and help a couple of mates setup there new reloading gear, show them how too set the dies for 6.5x55 and did some 129gr corelock test...
Just finished up loading 300 80gr eld-m and 100 75gr HPBT for the 223 and 50 Lehigh Defence 168gr Controlled Fracturing for the 300 blackout. Need some time to chrony the loads and validation on...
It was half broken and the tumble down the hill snapped it off, there was wire/string rapped around its neck too. It wouldn’t take much to get tangled up in trees.
Haven’t posted in a while. Typical steep Marlborough bluffs with a dead stag half way up, if I got closer the deer would be covered by tree’s because of the steepness.

Really like these new Garmins, because they are so compact I took mine hunting last week as I’ve had the odd low shot on a cold clean barrel. It’s nice validate velocity’s in true hunting scenarios...
Spent 6 days on a recon mission heard a few moans and the odd roar in the evenings and at night. Early days still the younger stags are mobbed up together, bigger stags doing their own thing.
Had a big day testing loads today with the Garmin C1 and it was going 7 hours 180 shots between 4 rifles, still had 50% battery. Had some small amount of tall grass in the way of the radar with no...
I’m using .3 less ar2208 powder and a larger bushing for neck tension with Lapua brass compared to the FC, RP, and starline brass. Don’t have compressed loads anymore since the got chamber long...
I've load 3 boxes of 80gr ELD-M with no issues, only started using them last couple of months.
21st century hand primer tool will last a lifetime.
Been using the Warne QD rings for 20+ years and currently on 3 rifle/ scope setups. Swap between red dot and easier clean blood, dirt and rust etc off rifle, scope, rings, picatinny rail.
Congratulations on the new rifle, 223 rem is a pretty easy caliber to get shooting accurate.
Have you thought about shooting off a tripod, it could be easier on the body sitting and standing.
Took a mate out before the mad weekend rush and to help train his dog and teach him a few tricks and skills hunting as he’s new to hunting. He’s happy to shot 250m maximum. So I setup and shot this...
I just use stick or a rock to push the blade off easy as.
Shot 3 reds with them past 300m but had quicker kills with the 73,75 and 80gr ELD-M from 300m to 400m in my 20" tikka.
Twinneddle if your willing to sent to Christchurch . Very professional.
Been using aimpoints 20+ years, mostly because of the long battery life and ruggedness. Running a cheap Trijicon RMO now has a wider field of view but the cheaper red now day better battery life.
Yes it was 2 scopes with the correct customs paperwork and had the Aus gst taken off at the airport. A bloody good deal for the exact same price that Hardyrifle engineering sell a NX8 2.5-20x50 F1...
A mate went to Australia a few months back and bought a NX8 2.5-20x50 and a 2.5-10x42 the same price the NX8 is here in NZ.
I highly rate the nxs 2.5-10x42 must do as I own 2 of them, 600g is manageable weight even on a lite weight rifle. I’m like Andy pretty hard on my tools, dropped, drowned in creeks and rivers,...
All depends on hunting pressure on animals, weather conditions, feed, water, shelter and terrain etc. One spot I went to the other day has little hunting pressure because lots of steep bluffs mixed...
You may not know the true history of the can and could of been on a semi auto back in the good old days high round count rapid rate of fire?
