+1 for 4DoF, unless you have a Garmin watch, in which case TruFlite - for the simple reason that it’s so much better having it in your wrist.
Excellent. Been following your progress with interest, so it’s great to see you on the board! Yeah, i got the meat from my first completely filthy as well…
I’ve had better results with Magpro than 2217 or 2213SC in my 7WSM, which has similar capacity to the PRC, so you could try that.
Shot two deer with one round the other day. Well, full disclosure - I’d clean missed first, so I’m not sure if it counts…
I spotted a hind in a tree line and didn’t think she’d hang around as it...
I agree with MD apart from the comment re. the chronograph. The range will probably have one you can use, so why not take advantage of it?
Sure, don't get put off an accurate load if it isn't...
I’m sure they have their advantages and if you’re actually gonna carry it or fly in with it then yeah, but otherwise I rate a kayak. The rest of this guy was stashed behind the seat and my daypack...
I don't think the distance in should make a difference to how careful you are.
I had an experience early on, falling hard against a tree in a deep little gully about 2.5 hours back from the car...
Gave up on the first Australian series. Was crap compared to the US ones - contestants were pathetic. Will give this series a watch but won’t be holding my breath.
Awesome!
Was that it for the season? Or not on due to Easter programming? Went to watch Sunday’s episode on demand but nothing added. Last season was 10 episodes, this one 8 so far.
Thanks all! That sounds like a consensus to me 😁
Sorry admins, wasn’t sure where to put this. Maybe we need a section for butchery?
I knocked over a couple of deer the other week. We quartered them out and hung everything in pillowcases in a...
Good stuff, won’t be long now! Don’t worry too much about leaving them to get bigger - no one is going to begrudge a new hunter bagging their first.
I’ve got to question those who use the safety argument for a SUV or ute as a daily driver. Way more likely to crash in the first place due to high centre of gravity and longer stopping distance, and...
Nah, DIY! Way more satisfying. Here's one I designed for a crossbow I made when I was 11.

To reload, push down on the back of the top bit to make it pop up and over-rotate it back a bit,...
+1 for Dean Maisey. I have the Varimax. Cool idea - can carry closed for spook & shoot then open the ports when you have time to put in your ear protection. Avoids changing POI
Legend! Will PM.
Does anyone have any of these in 150 grains they are willing to part with?
I've been happy enough with them in my 7WSM but want to try pushing them faster with a different powder. Problem is, I...
I actually think the driver has an obligation here. Don't assume your mate's rifle is empty / inoperable when he chucks it in the back of your vehicle, but ask to check. Provide him/her with...
This one of Moa Hunter came out okay. I had to adjust it to pick up his dog Skye in the gloom though

Could I politely suggest that anyone posting multiple items for sale come up with titles a little more creative than “a few items” or “clear out”?
As multi-item for sale threads often get a lot of...
Awesome. Wish I could take photos like those!
Nobody has mentioned the mighty 7mmWSM, I’m feeling left out :( But yeah, not the best option if you don’t reload. Even if you do it’s a pain to get brass.
I agree with Jus re. 7mm being ideal...
That’s awesome! Well done.
