Ask them their take on Hornady dies. They might have another point of view on it. Reloaders are pretty good.
I gave my 223 sizing die a scrub and wash out with brake cleaner, and ran 30 or so cases through. Now they seem to get hung up on the expander ball and come out with a bang when they go past it,...

I have them for 223/7mm08 cals, and found them to be really tight. I wonder if that's the reason.
How'd you clean them ?
