Was really hoping someone had some experience with the Wilkins ones as they’re cheap as at $50. Most of the cheap ones (under 100) I’ve purchased have been crap. Maybe I’m answering my own question...

Mainly to protect my lower legs. If I don’t wear them I get banged up pretty easy. I must have sensitive shins or something. Keeping water and crap outta my boots is a bonus.
