My current press (lyman crusher 2) with rcbs dies would not bump the shoulder on my 284 even when camming over. This was using hornady shell holders. I knew this by measuring with a headspace gauge...

Do you use a headspace gauge with bullet...
Do you use a headspace gauge with bullet comparator on your calipers to measure headspace? You may need to adjust your sizing die so that you are bumping the shoulder.
