Nah not a fan of copper bullets. Too hard for NZ game IMO. I like a good light jacketed splody bullet that dumps all its energy even at long ranges.

The wildcat you speak of already exists.. aka 6.5mmBR. It can be made by simply necking up 6mmBR brass. I have the reamer. Could also make it a 6.5 Dasher with the 40deg Ackley shoulder.

Nah the 5.45x39 is different again, it is a thinner case than the PPC, it has a base diameter of 10mm where the .22PPC, .220 Russian (5.6x39) 6.5 Grendel and 7.62x39 etc has a 11.3mm base.

nor-west I found some ADI load data for that cartridge with 70gr projectiles listed as a max charge of 32gr of 2209 giving 2777fps from a 23" barrel.

Yes the round count on the .22x47 is reported about 1500 with hot varminting loads. The data I found on .22x47 suggests they get 3750fps with 65gr game kings using 39.4gr of 2209 with a 24" barrel....
