if it gets wet alot yes... even if you put primer back on top for that "flat look", one good layer of colour should be enough to seal it from moisture (gloss seals best)

just remember that an etch paint is not UV tolerant and it will eventually chalk up a bit (depends on how long it spends out of the cupboard ) and a primer isn't water proof, some do pretty well for...
I drop a case in and lightly tap it in to make sure its all the way in .... and a small peice of foam at the other end in the barrel
Linkup paint supplies, its not to deer for the paint... hardners isn't that cheap, you would have to ring as I get trade prices... From memory I pay $40 a litre + $90 a litre for harder but its a 4-1...

If its not too thick it still shouldn't gloss...stir it well though. I usualy add a little 40 and its a little "Blacker" and harder :)
